You can only print one or two copies of the coupon on your computer, but if you can get a friend or family to print it for you also you have a good deal. Deal of the week

Bloom had triples Friday and Saturday and so I made many trips to the local Bloom. I got some fantastic deals-- they paid me approx. $.45 to take the Hormel Pepperoni, I got 15 rolls of Viva paper towels for $.31 a roll (I did have pay $3 for them on ebay, so you have to factor that into the price), $.16 for 20 oz. Nestle chocolate milk and so many other great deals! But, the deal of the week has to go to my neighbor, Ning. She found some Cottonelle TP blinkies (the coupons they have in the grocery store) for $.75 off. They had 6 pack double rolls of Cottonelle TP for BOGO (buy one get one) at $4.98 for two. With her coupons Ning paid $.25 a pack for toilet paper... kudos to her. Lesson-- also take the blinkies a the grocery store! And Bloom is great about doubling and tripling coupons that say do not double or triple. Well, Fort Mill Bloom is at least. I found the store to be very clean and the employees to be helpful and pleasant-- many kudos to Bloom!

Any Interest

Just wanted to post for anyone that lives in my neck of the woods. I trying to get a foreign exchange program going for this summer with a class of 10-12 year olds from China. They will only be here for 2 weeks and they will be in English school and on field trips Monday through Friday 8-4 or (8-5-- we haven't decided yet). You DON'T have to have children or children the age of the students. You just have to want to share in another culture. You can also have 2 students if you are worried about one student feeling lonely or bored. I am also recruiting families for year long programs with high school students. So, contact me or leave me a comment if you are interested. Also, please pass this on to other families that you think might have an interest in our program!!!

Ellie-- Mom, Kiki (preschool and church friend) has an Ariel book and Ariel shoes (Ellie LOVES everything Ariel). It is not fair. (Her favorite statement in the world-- that and I have to do everything when I make her clean up her mess.)

Hannah-- Well, how many dollars does she have?

Ellie-- I don't know I didn't look in her piggy bank.

Hannah-- Well, ask her. Because you have a lot of dollars and that is what you should be thankful for dollars. It is good to be thankful for a lot of dollars.

My material girls!!!

I know that many people are not into politics in the way I am and I envy them in many ways. I sometimes wish I didn't know what I know, because it can be infuriating. But this issue is not blue or red-- it is something that all Americans need to speak up about, so that we can still have choice in our Healthcare. "The Stimulus" in it's current form allocates hundreds of millions (I can't find an exact dollar amount) for a health czar or a health board that will review all of OUR private medical records and decide if OUR doctors are spending what the government deems appropriate for OUR condition. A similar health board in the UK deemed that anyone suffering macular degeneration (slow loss of vision in the elderly) would have to lose vision in one eye before they could receive treatment for the other eye. After 3 years of protest the decision was finally overturned. The decisions of these boards are based on what is most cost effective, not what is best for the patient. The medicine that Ted Kennedy is currently receiving for his brain cancer to extend his life is currently not available in the UK (the model that we will be basing our board on), because it is not cost effective. Tell that to a father who wants a few more months with his children before he passes away. Here is a link to an article that can better explain the provisions within the bill:

Warning TMI

I haven't blogged in a while because my little Riley Roo has been super sick. About one and an half weeks ago Riley woke up vomiting in the middle of the night and from there the vomiting lasted about 5 days! Poor kid-- she vomited more than 20 times altogether! It has been a horrible virus and today she was finally acting like herself again and she had normal poop!! Woo hoo!!! I felt so bad for her-- she was so pitiful laying on me all the time. I was also scared we would have to take her to the emergency room because of dehydration. I am so grateful that she has made it through and seems to be back to her happy, darling little self. It is amazing how little sleep you can get when you feel so bad for your child...
